Join the U of I Library for GIS Day 2025

GIS Day @ University of Idaho is a free event made possible by the U of I Library, with support from our sponsors, that brings together scholars, students, professionals, businesses, and the public to discuss geospatial technologies and demonstrate their many uses. This year’s theme is “GIS on the Palouse”, exploring how GIS users and researchers collaborate across our region.

GIS Day will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the Whitewater Room of the Idaho Student Union Building or online via Zoom. The day will feature keynote presentations, invited talks, and short sessions showcasing projects in water management, wildfire resiliency, transportation planning, and more. These sessions will be relevant to anyone interested in emerging GIS tools, techniques, and their applications.
