Artwalk

For more than twenty years, Moscow Artwalk has been a celebrated tradition, enriching the Palouse’s cultural landscape and spotlighting the wide range of creative talent in our community. Taking place four times a year between October and June, the event transforms local businesses and non-profit venues into vibrant showcases for the arts, offering visitors a chance to experience the rich variety of artistic expression found in Moscow.

  1. Paradise Creek of Olympus Retirement – 640 N. Eisenhower
    • Paintings, drawings, pottery, photography, quilts, blacklight and other visual arts prepared by residents, staff and family members at Paradise Creek of Olympus Retirement Living.
      • 2:00-6:00pm
  2. Moscow Contemporary – 2012 W. Pullman Road (Palouse Place Mall)
    • In 2022, U of I began offering college degrees to incarcerated students. Today the Prison Education Initiative supports students in taking the next step toward education. Join us in celebrating these accomplishments with artwork skillfully made behind bars.

  3. Pour Company – 402 W 6th Street #102
    • Jessica Bylin is a Moscow-based artist working in linocut, printmaking, watercolor, and ceramics. Her art is inspired by time spent as a wildlife research assistant in the American West, from trapping foxes in Wyoming to studying loons in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Blending realism with whimsy, her work captures the textures and rhythms of nature, often infused with folklore and fantasy—as seen in pieces like The Forest God of Bones and Fox Under the Northern Lights.

  5. One World Cafe – 533 S. Main Street
    • Alex Galford – he paints stuff that probably means something, though he’s still figuring it out. Most days it’s just color, smoke, and a gut feeling that maybe he’s onto something real. No plan, no speech, just paint, a little chaos, and a shot of whatever honesty he’s got left.

  7. Moscow Chamber of Commerce + Visitor Center – 411 S. Main Street
    • West Park Elementary 4th graders have been exploring Idaho’s geography and geology, studying mountains, rivers, lakes, and valleys. To apply their knowledge, they created topographical maps using salt dough and acrylic paint.
      • Idaho’s nickname, The Gem State, comes from its rich mineral deposits, including the rare star garnet. 4th graders explored geometric shapes, line, and value to create gemstones and crystal clusters using metallic markers and watercolor.

  8. Northwest Wado-ryu – 407 S. Washington Street
    • Our Students will be working on Kata Performance, Ohyo Gumites and Kihon Kumites

  9. City of Moscow – 206 E Third Street
    • “Brooch the Subject” by Chandra Drennen. Drennen presents jewelry made from a variety of media in The Box Gallery on the 1st floor of Moscow City Hall.
      • Artist Reception: October 23 from 5 – 7 p.m.
      • Exhibition: October 16, 2025 – January 2, 2026
    • “Covering the Palouse” The exhibition on the 2nd floor of the Third Street Gallery presents artist-designed covers of the publication known at different points as the Moscow Magazine, Palouse Journal, and Northwest Journal. The reception will feature refreshments by Pour Company and Wilder Catering, along with an artist presentation beginning at 6 p.m.

      • Exhibition: October 16, 2025 – January 2, 2026
    • “The Sweet Controversy” The exhibition on the 3rd floor features artworks by UI painting students, each depicting candy that provokes a love/hate response. Viewers are invited to experience the paintings and to consider the merits of candy corn, licorice jelly beans, circus peanuts, and other similarly polarizing confections.

  10. Disability Action Center Northwest – 505 N. Main Street
    • Join us to paint pumpkins! This hobby group is an all-ages, judgement-free activity group for those with disabilities in our community. Our goal is to build friendship and connection, to learn new skills, and enjoy a fun activity together.

  11. Moscow Food Co-op – 121 E 5th St
    • Ludmilla Parez finds inspiration in the quiet beauty of the Pacific Northwest—rolling hills, pine trees, and open skies. Her paintings capture fleeting moments and the stillness this landscape evokes
      • 4:00-6:30pm
  12. Forty Two Bar Kitchen – 2012 S. Main St
    • This group exhibit showcases works created during a paint-and-sip class, where each artist painted their own interpretation of the P1FCU Kibbie Dome. With the same starting point and inspiration, the results reveal a range of unique styles and creative perspectives.

Calling ALL Artists

Writers, culinary artists, performers, and visual artists of all kinds are encouraged to take part. Between October and June, artists in any medium can partner with a local business or non-profit to display or present their work. Once a match is made, the hosting location will complete the registration process. Need help finding the right fit?
