“Yes, and…” Improv for People with Social Anxiety

Join us for a fun workshop with confidence building, connections and self-expression through Improv! Led by Judy Sobeloff who is a local improviser and LMSW who has led workshops and activities for people of all ages and in a variety of settings, including libraries, schools, colleges, correctional facilities, sidewalks, arts festivals, and community centers. A teaching artist for the Idaho Commission on the Arts since 2005, she strives to offer collaborative projects that both foster social and emotional well-being and are surprisingly fun. She holds an MSW from the University of Michigan and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Washington. She is also an enthusiastic graduate of both the yearlong Seattle-based Teaching Artists Training Lab and the Northwest Creative and Expressive Arts Institute’s yearlong professional certificate program in expressive arts therapy. She has worked with people in residential treatment, Outward Bound courses, bereavement support groups, juvenile detention, special education classes, and at an alternative high school. Some of her superpowers are disarming through humor and creating emotional safety.
